Jorge Cabieses

Born in Lima in 1971. Make his artistic training at the School of Fine Arts "Corriente Alterna" graduated in 2000. Until 2003 was part of the collective PERÚ FABRICA which incorporates screen printing as an artistic medium. He has made six solo exhibitions: "Instruction Manual" (Artco Gallery, 2003), "Boarding Pass" (Punctum Gallery, 2004), "Post" (Galería Lucía de la Puente, 2006) and Popular Mechanics 2 "(Enlace Contemporary Art 2007). ... He has participated in numerous group shows in Peru, Chile, Ecuador, United States, Spain, Germany, Poland, Vienna. He was a finalist in contests such as "Passport for an Artist," organized by the French Embassy in Peru (2001, 2003 and 2006), in the Fifth Competition Telefónica 2001) and Philips Competition (2001 and 2002). He has participated in international exhibitions such as: arteaméricas 2007, 2008 (Miami-USA), BA Art 2007 (Buenos Aires-Argentina), Art BO 2007 (Bogota Colombia) Pinta London 2010.
